Does resolution really matter that much?

Project CARS developer, Slightly Mad Studios, have just confirmed, through their FAQ section on their site, that their racer will run at 1080p resolution on the Playstation 4 and 900p on the Xbox One.

Originally Slightly Mad Studios were aiming to have both consoles run Project CARS at the magical 1080p resolution figure.

Those getting the game on the PC have the option (hardware depending ofcourse) to have up to a colossal 12K resolution. However resolution aside, perhaps more importantly, is that both the Playstation 4 and Xbox One version of Project CARS will run at a silky smooth 60 frames per second.

Furthermore Slightly Mad Studios confirmed that there will be no split-screen mode option for Project CARS, a feature that is getting more and more rare by the year it seems. Does resolution really matter to you?, can you spot the difference between 900p and 1080p?

Project CARS will be coming to the Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC in the middle of May in Europe and US, and some time in 2015 (presumably, as there is still no confirmation) for the Wii U. For more on Project CARS check out the official site.

Would definitely get the PS4 version but anyone know if they have Nurburgring Nordschleife?

  • Yes, the Nurbrugring Nordschleife is included and so is the Nurburgring GP circuit 🙂

Yes, a lot actually. As a life long PC gamer I’m amazed how console players are so `meh` on that subject. Some even calling 30fps ‘Cinematic’. My mobile phone (S6) does 60FPS at 1440×2560… c’mon it’s 2015. 1080p@60FPS shouldn’t be an issue on a ‘Next Gen’ device. So, good job for the dev’s in how hey managed to squeeze 60FPS on the PS4 on 1080p, however, I doubt it will be in the rain in a 32 player race.
(Just guessing) The question is, at what cost ? Shaders Quality ? Particles ? Anti Aliasing ? Texture Quality ?

I prefer FPS over all, so WQHD for me. (ROG SWIFT PG278Q can do 144FPS with GSYNC)
can you spot the difference between 900p and 1080p?

    But here’s a 4K pic.

    Yes, it matters.
