Following Drift Stage’s Kickstarter Success, Racer Now Coming To PS4 And PS Vita
Drift Stage, an 80’s inspired racing game, has raced past its Kickstarter goal of $30,000, in fact it almost has raised twice as much thanks to over 2,500 backers.
The once PC, Mac and Linux game will now be arriving for the Playstation 4 and Playstation Vita platforms following an announcement by developers Super System Software.
Super System said: “We’ve been talking to people at Sony for quite a while now, and we’re finally at a point where we can say: we’re working towards PS4 and PS Vita releases of Drift Stage, and the fact that we’ve exceeded our funding goal is certainly going to help make it happen. We’re still focused on PC/Mac/Linux right now, but we’re hoping to hit PS4/Vita in 2016”.
So Playstation fans will still have some considerable time to wait before they get their hands on the 80’s inspired racing game, but this is great news nonetheless. There were rumours of Drift Stage possibly hitting mobile devices a while back but no news has yet surfaced on that matter.
Drift Stage features a roster of cars inspired by the mid-late 80’s and early 90’s racing on tracks ranging from city streets to coastal beaches. The game features single-player mode, career mode, circuit races, and leaderboard chasing time trials. Also expected is local splitscreen and online multiplayer racing.
