Classic Midfield Raceway Track Coming To Gran Turismo 6 In Free Update

 

Now here’s some good news for long standing Gran Turismo fans, a much loved classic track, Midfield Raceway, will be coming to Gran Turismo 6 via a free update!

The announcement comes from Polyphony’s PitStop Blog. The updated Gran Turismo 6 version of Midfield Raceway can be seen in the screenshots on this page. The track made its debut around fifteen years ago in Gran Turismo 2 for the original Playstation. It last appeared in Gran Turismo 4 (not including the PSP) for the Playstation 2 and hasn’t been seen on a Playstation console since.

The track will feature time and weather changes when it makes its Playstation 3 debut. Midfield Raceway is one of the more popular tracks that fans have been requesting for a long time now along with the Seattle track, fingers crossed we’ll get that one too in the future.

The announcement also confirms that the Mazda LM55 Vision GT and the Chaparral 2X Vision GT cars will be paintable in the 1.16 update for Gran Turismo 6. Expect the update to release soon, for more on Gran Turismo 6 see the official site. More screenshots below.
